Newspaper headline saying, "Higher interest rates resulted in 30,000 fewer housing starts last year: CMHC", with the subtitle, "Modelling suggests 2023 interest rates slashed housing starts by 10 to 15 per cent" Below the text is a construction worker in front of a single detached house under construction.

Trudeau’s own Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) reported today that Canada had 30,000 fewer housing starts in 2023 as a consequence of soaring interest rates, directly caused by Trudeau’s inflationary spending.

After 9 years of Trudeau and the NDP-Liberals, the results speak for themselves. Only Common Sense Conservatives have a plan to Build the Homes and bring home housing affordability for Canadians.
